Children ages 18 - 30 months with the accompaniment of an adult.
As an introduction to our program philosophy, this toddler class provides a foundation for early discoveries in nature. We strive to provide a safe, welcoming place in our city’s forest for children and caregivers to develop a positive connection with nature. We hope that these experiences will create lasting memories and a lifelong curiosity and stewardship for our natural surroundings.
Each day we share songs, group movement games and stories. Families discover the wonders of the outdoors on a short nature walk. We introduce basic trail hiking skills, basic plant and creature identification skills, and introduce positive language around problem solving and relationships.
Each week we explore sensory activities, art materials, tools; we challenge our physical development and gross motor planning when we climb, run, jump and play in nature’s playground.
